I also happen to use the Google Messages desktop PC app that allows me to send/receive texts on my PC, but I doubt that is causing this problem as it happens even with my PC turned off. My text messaging app in Google Messages and my launcher is Nova Prime. I can remove the floating icons by tapping, holding them and moving them towards the center of the dock area at the bottom of my screen, whereupon a discard icon appears and I "sweep" the ID icon into the discard icon and it disappears. If I get more than one person sending me a text, I get more than one floating icon on my screen(s). I can move this icon around each screen but it always snaps itself to the right or left edge of the screen. This icon persists on all screens-home screen, secondary launcher screens, browser, emails, etc. This icon is very similar to the ID icon that is displayed during a phone call. iOS 16.4.Someone please help me find the setting to turn off the annoying floating ID icon I get whenever someone sends me a text message.iPhone 15 Pro Max: Everything you need to know about Apple’s 2023 flagship.Keep files safe from cyber criminals with Koofr Cloud Storage, just $140 for life.iMac at 25: The cool and colorful Mac that changed Apple–and the world.Get a lifetime of fast, reliable web hosting for under $50.Enter to win a stylish MacBook case from SwitchEasy. Here comes the MacBook Air we’ve been waiting for.3 Reasons to Watch: Drops of God on Apple TV+.This feature-packed quadcopter is the perfect drone for beginners.Today in Apple history: Apple PR guru Katie Cotton steps down.New York Times Obituary for Katie Cotton.Ford CEO Jim Farley Seems Very Happy That GM Is Dropping CarPlay.Clarence Thomas Corruption Scandal Gets Worse.Warren Buffett praises iPhone as an 'extraordinary product'.Daily deals: 20% off M1 MacBook Air, 31% off Apple Pencil Gen 2, $200 off LG 27-inch UltraFine monitor, more.RadRunner 3 Plus Electric Utility Bike review: An expensive e-bike made for the rugged terrains.Final day: save an extra 20% on open box Apple products.Understanding macOS lock screen options. The MacRumors Show: Talking Through watchOS 10's Huge Redesign. One Month Until WWDC 2023: Here's What's Coming.
